One Canadian woman thought so and has made it her mission to do something about it. By combining a sense of style and creativity with a passion to find a better solution for the planet, Calgary’s own Shannon Andrukow created an alternative to Bisphenol A (BPA) bottles called Otterbottle. With every bottle sold, OtterBottlle Inc. make a contribution will be made to the David Suzuki Foundation. Canada's OtterBottles are named after the Canadian Otter, an animal that lives in the water that we all need to protect.

• Lids are #5 PP Plastic and are not recommended for dishwasher as lids will warp over time.

Where are the bottles manufactured?
Otterbottles are manufactured in China. Otterbottle insures quality by performing regular metal testing and lead testing on the exterior paint. In 2007, 47% of the world's steel came from China. As such, the†economics†for sourcing steel and producing the bottles there is better than anywhere else. †To Otterbottles knowledge (and after extensive research) there are no stainless steel water†bottles†being produced in North America. In all of their research all stainless steel bottles are being manufactured in China (including Klean Kanteen and Sigg stainless steel)
